It’s interesting that all the opinions are about replacing Justin Trudeau. Every voter should remember that every sitting Liberal MP is complicit in creating the mess that Canada finds itself in today! If you have a Liberal MP, remember that he/she has done nothing to save this sinking ship. You may think he/she is great. Think again!

(There are going to be many Liberal MPs who won’t be returning to the House of Commons after the next election. Many of them know that and are not seeking re-election)

EVER CHANGING VIEWS

I hear so much about Kamala Harris and her ever-evolving views. In 2019, she was for banning plastic straws, against fracking, defunding police. Now that these views could result in an election loss, all of a sudden her views have “evolved.” Most people I know have opinions that remain pretty solid. Many politicians do what is necessary to win, and their views be damned. People, don’t be fooled by the new evolving — they are just lies now!

DISSERVICE TO POLICE

Re “High-ranking T.O. cop demoted over promotions scandal” (Chris Doucette, Aug. 29): The outcome of the superintendent (now inspector) Clarke’s Toronto Police Service (TPS) hearing that she remain a police officer is a disservice to every police service in Canada that is involved in similar discreditable conduct circumstances; i.e., cheating, breach of trust. The decision, based on the facts presented and her admission, clearly meant she should be fired. Clarke has done no favours to those six officers careers. Her thinking that she had to level the playing field and blaming the job that hired her and rewarded her with several promotions is absurd. It is now an insult to every Black officer currently employed and retired — those who over time had been promoted to every rank, including chief. Clarke’s penalty is wrong. If Clarke has a conscience, she should resign. As for the six constables, they have decisions to make.

(The service was never going to fire her)
