NOT TRUMP’S TIME

This is my takeaway from watching the Kamala Harris and Donald Trump debate. In a word: Astounded. Given Trump’s deeply flawed character, it is incomprehensible how such a man could have become the president of the United States in the first place. I am baffled by questions such as the following and have written head-scratching possible answers. Who supports Donald Trump? Wealthy individuals and influential corporations. Also gullible folks who blindly believe internet misinformation and are unwilling to fact check. What do the wealthy see in Trump? An opportunity to have restrictive government regulations and tax laws changed. What do frustrated and angry people see in Trump? A far-fetched belief he will relieve their anxiety which has been brought on by the rapidly changing world. This race for the American presidency is a contest between good and evil, altruism and selfishness, truth and lies, duty and egotism, hopefulness and negativity, decency and indecency, cheerfulness and bitterness, realistic gun rules and token ones, progressiveness and small-mindedness, women’s rights and ‘holier-than-thou’ suppression, democracy and tyranny. Go Kamala, go!

(With all the negatives you’ve listed about Trump, he is still going to receive a massive amount of support as many Americans are willing to accept his flaws because they felt more secure and had more money in their pockets when he was president)

WASTE OF MONEY

Let’s fly 154 MPs and all the staff needed to B.C. Money is no object. Hotel rooms, meals, anything. Who cares, it’s not their money. Will the Liberal MPs really tell Trudeau what’s on their mind? Absolutely not. Why? They are paid between $200,000 and $300,000 per year. Good pay for a bunch of dust collectors and they do not want to lose their job as almost none of them could get a job paying more than minimum wage. So the whole exercise is a total waste of time and a huge waste of money. Par for the course for Trudeau. And now the selfish Bloc will prop them up in exchange for a lot of goodies for Quebec. Nothing changes if nothing changes.

(An election cannot come soon enough to send the Trudeau Liberals to the dustbin of history)
