Following a decorated college career at Samford, Hodges joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2019. After injuries to Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph, he made six starts with a 3-3 record for Mike Tomlin’s team.
The 28-year-old Alabaman was waived the following year and after six off-season months with the Los Angeles Rams, was signed by the Redblacks to a three-year deal on Sept. 16, 2021.
Hodges appeared in two games and made one start for Ottawa — a 23-20 loss to the Toronto Argos on Nov. 6 — and completed 16 of 38 passes for 139 yards and an interception.
He retired from pro football the following April.
Hodges became a licensed real estate agent in Tennessee while also proudly stating he enjoyed traveling to concerts and being on the road with Wilson, whom he met through mutual friends in Nashville in 2021.
