The 26-year-old was at Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night in Tampa where he was seated in the crowd looking much different than Jays fans have previously seen him.

Instead of rocking his trademark long locks, Bichette had a much-shorter hairstyle, with buzzed sides and a bit longer on top – but nowhere close to what he had been known for.

Bichette had even started marketing a selection of “Bo Flows” headbands, which he often rocked on the ball field.

After having posted the clip from the broadcast that was a little bit too dark to see the details, the Blue Jays official social media accounts later shared a shot with much better lighting for their former all-star.

Perhaps Bichette made the change after seeing how much better teammate and good friend Vladimir Guerrero Jr. started playing when he shed his trademark dreads mid-season.

After debuting his new ‘do in June, Vladdy went on an absolute tear and was one of the most-feared hitters in baseball down the stretch, finishing sixth in the league in MVP voting despite the Jays coming in last in the AL East.

Pre-haircut, the Jays star first baseman had notched a .766 OPS with seven homers in 318 plate appearances. From June 18 on, Guerrero’s production skyrocketed, hitting 23 home runs over his next 379 trips to the plate and boosting his OPS to 1.084.

Bichette, on the other hand, went through the worst season of his career.

He landed on the injured list three times, first with a calf injury that was later aggravated and then suffering a broken finger just two days after returning.

In all, Bichette played 81 games in 2024, hitting a woeful .225 with just four home runs and 31 RBIs.

Bichette had made the all-star game two of the previous three seasons and led the AL in hits in 2021 and 2022.

So, Jays fans should be hoping that this haircut gets Bo back in the flow of things in 2025.
