“When the sun goes down, the city comes alive and is illuminated by a myriad of lights, from bustling bars, to lively restaurants and towering skyscrapers,” the Jays said in its official rollout of the new look. “The Blue Jays City Connect uniform enters night mode, with a vibrant, dynamic blue and pop of Canadiana red that moves with rhythmic energy and illuminates the Toronto skyline as it reflects on the pitch blue of Lake Ontario.
“Every detail of the uniform, from the sharp lines to the bold colours, is a tribute to Toronto’s nightlife, capturing its spirit of adventure, its passion for sports and its unwavering love for the city’s unique culture.

At the centre of the skyline are the CN Tower and Rogers Centre that are beacons in the night sky calling us home.”
Design details include the Toronto coat of arms — ‘Diversity Our Strength’ — an illuminated skyline, landmark Toronto sign, ‘hyperized’ birdhead logo, city flag double stripe and blue, red and royal colours.
The ballcap features what the team calls “a bold, one-of-a-kind statement of city pride.”
The front features an assertive ‘T’ “reminiscent of the pillars of City Hall, with a maple leaf at its centre, proudly representing an entire nation,” the Jays said. “The inside includes the Toronto skyline, portrayed as a rhythmic heartbeat to represent the pulse of the city.”
City Connect gear will be sold exclusively at the Rogers Centre Jays Shop.
The Jays will debut the new look on Friday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates, and later in games against Baltimore, Boston, New York, Houston, Detroit, Tampa, Cincinnati, Los Angeles and St. Louis.
