But the biggest question that fans are asking after watching the team’s first four games of the year at Rogers Centre is about a certain celebrity: Where is Home Plate Lady?
For years, a woman has been a fixture at Rogers Centre during Blue Jays broadcasts, sitting behind home plate and taking in games, often wearing scarves.
She even went viral for her unflinching reaction to foul balls hitting the protective netting right in front of her face – and then joking about it a couple of games later.
When Home Plate lady in Toronto went viral for not flinching at a foul ball, she found out and two days later she does this…😂pic.twitter.com/QKurMVEpZ9

On Sunday, the outlet reported that the superfan will not be attending games this year. The sources – which wished to remain anonymous – said “she has had some health issues” and will be unable to make it to the dome.
These issues apparently aren’t something incredibly new. In fact, for the past couple of seasons, a golf cart took her on the field to her seats.
The news led to an outpouring of support on social media for the superfan.
X user “Blue Jays Dad” offered well wishes and made a pitch for the team to honour Home Plate Lady.
“While we will miss Home Plate Lady on our television sets, I wish her all the best and pray for her health. An absolute legend,” he posted on X.

Home Plate Lady – who also remains anonymous — has attended countless Jays’ games at Rogers Centre and reportedly held those prime season tickets for decades.
She has become a cult hero for fans and even had her own cardboard cutout in the stands during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the team was forced to play in front of an empty stadium.
As the team wrapped up its opening series of the 2025 season on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles – the Jays earned a split and were 2-2 going into Monday night’s game against the Washington Nationals – many fans took to social media to ask where Home Plate Lady was.
A parody account for the Home Plate Lady posted a snap from Thursday’s opener of a young fan talking with Rush frontman Geddy Lee – himself a frequenter of the seats behind home plate.
