Drake, who has served as the “Global Ambassador” for the Raptors for years, showed his distaste for DeRozan in a clip that went viral on social media.

While performing during a concert in Sydney, Australia, the Hotline Bling hitmaker was seen holding a Toronto Raptors that was tossed to him on stage. Upon examining the camo-themed uni and seeing it was that of DeRozan, Drake shook his head and then spiked the jersey to the ground.

It’s safe to say that the Toronto-born musician still is bitter about the Raptors great siding with Kendrick Lamar in the heated war of words between the two rappers.

Like Lamar, DeRozan also hails from Compton, Calif., and appeared in the music video for Not Like Us, the award-winning diss track that caused Drake to launch a lawsuit against Universal Music Group.

A week after Lamar won five Grammys for the track, he performed the song during the Super Bowl halftime show while taking several shots at the Canadian — to much applause from the crowd.

DeRozan started his career in Toronto and played nine seasons with the Raps, earning four all-star appearances. He’s the franchise’s all-time leader in several categories, including points and games.

However, he was traded to San Antonio in 2018 in the deal that brought Kawhi Leonard north of the border, helping secure the franchise’s first and only NBA championship.

After stints with the Spurs and Chicago Bulls, DeRozan is now in his first season with the Sacramento Kings, who had a little fun with the viral clip.

In an edited clip of the concert footage, a Sacramento fan is seen having a Kings version of DeRozan’s jersey land on his face. After checking it out, he gives a nod of approval before walking away.

“The 916 loves Deebo,” the team’s account wrote as the caption with purple heart and laughing face emojis.

Earlier in the season, Drake caused controversy when he appeared in the broadcast booth during a game against the Kings that honoured Raptors legend Vince Carter.

Speaking to commentators Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong, he said that it was “unfortunate we’re playing this goof tonight,” taking a shot at DeRozan.

Drake also said that if the Raptors ever chose to retire DeRozan’s No. 10 jersey, he’d rip it down.

“If you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself,” Drake said.
