The team’s logo for the coming 2024-25 season “integrates the iconic basketball with a raptor claw mark, which was introduced in 2015 and prominently featured during the basketball club’s NBA championship season. The claw’s silhouette is extended into the ‘3,’ further nodding to the dinosaurs’ presence in the creative identity this season.”

The Raptors plan to celebrate the iconic moments that began when future rookie of the year Damon Stoudamire and others first took to the court in 1995.

You can bet the team’s first global superstar, Vince Carter, will feature prominently in the activations. Carter will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in September.

The Raptors say they will honour “the culture, the city and the icons that uplifted the Toronto Raptors and will continue to move the organization forward.”

Team president and vice chairman Masai Ujiri said in a release: “We’re always looking forward, working for our next championship, but years like this are a good time to reflect on our team’s history and the amazing things we’ve achieved together, with the support of our fans, our organization and our ownership.”

Ujiri added: “Rookies of the Year. Our many All-Stars — and an incredible All-Star weekend here in 2016. And of course, our championship, which brought fans all across the country and the world together.

“Let’s celebrate these moments, as we look to add new ones to the list in the decades to come.”
