The Garrison Curling Club skip and her rink earned a spot in Sunday afternoon’s final (3 p.m.) after scoring an 8-5 late Saturday victory over Sexsmith’s Robyn Silvernagel in the Page playoff 1-v-2 draw.

After falling behind 4-2 through five ends, B-side qualifier Skrlik & Co. counted deuces in each of the sixth, seventh and ninth ends of that game to earn the bye to the final draw of the 2025 Curling Alberta Women’s Provincial Championship.

The loss drops A-side qualifier Silvernagle into Sunday’s semifinal (10 a.m.) versus Edmonton’s Nicky Kaufman.

Kaufman made her to way to the playoff round by scoring one of the C-event qualifying spots early Saturday. The Thistle Curling Club skip and her team dropped Edmonton’s Gracelyn Richards 9-3.
Then Kaufman took on Grande Prairie’s Janais DeJong in the Page playoff 3-v-4 draw and won 7-5 late Saturday. A three-end first set the Edmonton rink off on the right foot, and counts of one in each of the ninth and 10th ends then sealed the victory.

The winner of the Silvernagle-Kaufman semi meets Skrlik in the Alberta finale.

And that victor moves on to represent the province at the 2025 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Feb. 14-23 in Thunder Bay, Ont.
