Paul Pierce is wondering why he got fired by ESPN after an Instagram live gone wrong, but Shannon Sharpe was not, even though Sharpe’s transgressions seemed a lot worse.

Pierce, the 10-time NBA all-star, was canned in 2021 after he aired an apparent house party that showed him drinking and smoking marijuana with scantily clad women dancing. ESPN fired him for violating the morality clause in his contract.

Sharpe, an NFL legend turned broadcaster, streamed himself having sex with a woman. Yet, he’s still on the air for ESPN.

That confused many on social media, as well as Pierce. Pierce posted on X, asking: “He can bang a woman on Instagram live but I can’t have (sort of) clothed women with me while I’m on Instagram Live?????”

“Talk about favouritism,” Pierce added with angry emoticons.

Sharpe said he unintentionally went on Instagram live, claiming he was unfamiliar with the platform.

TMZ reported Sharpe would not face any disciplinary measures.
