Brady and Belichick spent 20 years together with the New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowls together along the way before the legendary quarterback left to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won one more championship.
Belichick coached another four seasons without Brady to varying success before being fired after the 2023 season.
But according to a report by the NFL Network, Brady — who became a part-owner of the Raiders last year — has “recently” spoken with Belichick about reuniting in Sin City.
The report indicates that the pair spoke before the Raiders made their final decision to fire first-year coach Antonio Pierce on Tuesday.

The outlet said that Brady wanted to know “what it would take” for Belichick to take the Raiders job.
There would be one hurdle in the way of the move, however: Belichick agreed last month to join the University of North Carolina as its football program’s head coach in a shock move.
The NFL Network report also stated that “multiple NFL teams” have asked whether Belichick would return to the pros, not just Brady’s Raiders.
After Belichick was dismissed by the Patriots last year, he received just a single interview for a head-coaching role. The future hall of famer spoke with the the Atlanta Falcons, who eventually hired former Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.
The 72-year-old Belichick stayed in the public eye — in several ways. He took on multiple media-related jobs and also garnered a lot of attention when it was revealed that he is dating a 24-year-old former cheerleader.

The coach does have a buyout in his contract with UNC — albeit a pricey one.
Belichick can be bought out of his contract for $10 million US if he were to leave before June 1. After that date, the price drops to $1 million.
It should also be noted that the Raiders will already be spending roughly $28 million on fired coaches next season. Pierce will be owed $8 million, Josh McDaniels (who was canned in 2023) will be paid $10 million and Jon Gruden will receive $10 million, as per a settlement after his dismissal.
Las Vegas already has requested interviews with Detroit Lions coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, per Sports Illustrated.
Brady reportedly will have “a lot” of influence in the team’s coaching search.
