Former NFL star's wife hints podcast host accused of sexual misconduct could be back soon

Kelly Stafford has shed a bit of light on the status of her popular podcast.

The wife of former NFL star Matthew Stafford is co-host of The Morning After, but the podcast has been missing its other host, journalist Hank Winchester, recently.

That’s because Winchester had his home raided in June in relation to a sexual misconduct investigation, according to the New York Post.

On June 13, a search warrant was executed at Winchester’s residence and electronics were seized after he was accused of making sexual advances during a massage, according to Fox 2 Detroit.

“I know that (the podcast) has looked a little differently over the last few weeks,” Stafford said on a recent episode. “Summer is a lot for all of us. I’ve been travelling a bunch. Hank is dealing with some personal stuff. Bear with us there.”

Winchester has been on the show a few times since the allegations, while Matthew Stafford, formerly of the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams — the team he won a Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP with — has helped out on some.

Winchester has been on administrative leave from WDIV Local 4 in Detroit since June 18 while the investigation unfolds.

Reports have said he has been studying massage therapy.

“Hank has spent decades bringing truth to our community and fighting for our citizens,” read a statement from Winchester’s attorney, Todd Flood, as reported by the New York Post.

“Because he holds a high-profile position in our community, that can at times generate false accusations. This investigation will end where it began — nowhere.”

Winchester met Matthew Stafford during his many years with the Lions and joined Kelly Stafford’s podcast in 2023.

Stafford hinted Friday that Winchester may return to the show soon.

“The NFL season is just around the corner,” she said. “Soon you will be getting plenty of us, I’m sure. It’s all a lot.”
