It’s common for those who have suffered concussions to be adversely affected by bright lights and loud noises, two things that are very common at concerts.

Perhaps Malik Nabers should’ve heeded some of those warnings before taking in a Travis Scott show on Wednesday night.

The New York Giants rookie, who missed last Sunday’s game against the Seahawks in Seattle after suffering a head injury, was ruled out for this week’s game due to a concussion. The news comes two days after videos circulated on social media of the first-round pick attending the rap concert at MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL team.

Nabers, who suffered a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 26, remains in concussion protocol, but head coach Brian Daboll said on Friday that he’s slowly progressing.

“He won’t make it,” Daboll said of Nabers’ status for Sunday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“He’ll be doing stuff out on the field, more like he was doing the last two days,” added Daboll, who was speaking before Friday’s practice. “He’ll do some more than he did (Thursday). We’re making progress, but that’s never anything you want to rush.’’

The third-year Giants head coach also was asked if Nabers had been knocked unconscious on the hit that gave him the concussion.

“I’m not going to get into you know what it was, but it was certainly a big hit. He’s got a pretty good concussion. I’m not going to get into concussion protocol or anything like that. It’s a serious thing.’’

While Nabers drew the ire of many Giants fans when the videos and pictures surfaced, Daboll declined to comment on the situation.

“Yeah, I’ll keep that all in-house,” Daboll said.

When asked if it was “a violation of any protocol on his end,” Daboll replied that it wasn’t.

Despite missing last week’s game and a portion of the Cowboys tilt, Nabers leads his team with 35 receptions and three touchdowns. He also has 386 receiving yards in his four games.
