The retired three-time all-pro allegedly was defrauded of nearly US$3 million in money and property by his estranged wife, according to TMZ.
According to court documents obtained by the outlet, Nina Thomas began taking money from the ‘Legion of Boom’ member soon after she filed for a divorce from him in 2020.
She allegedly transferred assets totaling roughly $2.7 million out of his bank account and into her own with the aid of a co-conspirator. TMZ reported that some of the funds were spent on breast implants and a luxury Hermes Birkin handbag.
Court records showed that Nina was taken into custody last week and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and aggravated identity theft.

The couple has a checkered past when it comes to legal drama.
In 2023, Nina’s new boyfriend — reportedly identified by New Orleans police as Kevin J. Thompson — was arrested for allegedly stealing Earl’s identity in a $1.9-million scam.
Thompson was accused of cashing Thomas’ cheques, stealing from his bank account and transferring car ownership for several vehicles.
Previously, Nina filed for divorce after authorities said she had held Earl at gunpoint after finding him in bed with two women and his brother in late 2020.
The seven-time Pro Bowler racked up 30 interceptions and 713 tackles during his career. He was part of the Seahawks team that won the Super Bowl in 2014 and was named to the Hall of Fame’s all-2010s team.
However, his playing days came to an end after the Ravens terminated his contract before the 2020 season for “personal conduct that adversely affected” the team.
