Troubled ex-NFL star Antonio Brown has to pay $1.2M in alleged beatdown

Disgraced former NFL star Antonio Brown has to pay a moving truck driver a cool $1.2 million.

According to TMZ Sports, Brown, 34, has been ordered by a Broward County, Fla. jury to pay trucker Anton Tumanov a whack of cash after he allegedly attacked him three years ago.

Brown skipped responding to the allegations and failed to show up to hearings. TMZ reports that the jury found Brown liable for $407,000 for Tumanov’s past and future medical expenses, plus $793,000 for past and future pain and suffering.

Tumanov sued the gridiron bad boy in May 2021, claiming Brown thumped him as he was trying to deliver a package to the player’s Broward County mansion on Feb. 11, 2020. Brown allegedly disputed the payment and freaked out.

The trucker claimed his vehicle was damaged and Brown hit him numerous times causing “severe bodily injuries.” Brown cut a deal with prosecutors in the criminal charges and was put on probation and given to community service.

It’s just the latest fumble by Brown, who famously ran shirtless on MetLife Stadium in January, admitted he had slept with an influencer who licked an airplane toilet seat before the big game, allegedly exposed himself in a pool in Dubai, and trolled Tom Brady. And that’s an abridged list.

Meanwhile, Brown issued an epic statement about the brouhaha over Kanye West’s (now known as Ye) alleged anti-Semitism. He is the president of West’s Donda Sports.

“I remain true to the mission of Donda and our amazing staff and community,” Brown said in a statement on Twitter. “I remain dedicated to helping clarify statements taken out of proportion (context?) by the media. I remain committed to bringing new ideas, experiences, and designs to our world. I remain in support of the humanity that is Ye.”

But not everyone is buying what Brown is selling.

On Tuesday, top Donda clients Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown announced they would be ditching the agency that handled their brand marketing.

“Hey, if you call somebody out for bad business, that means you’re being anti-Semitic,” the New York Post reported Kanye as saying.

Brown — buried by his own self-destruction — came off the sidelines for West.

“Over the past few weeks the world’s reactionary and selective outrage at comments in the media made by my brother, Ye, have inflamed and sparked rampant conversation and reflection,” Brown said in his post.

“I too have been able to reflect on statements that I and others in my circle have made that lack clarity in expressing my stance. The people and brands that have relentlessly profited from Black ideas and Black culture chose to distance themselves at a very specific time: A time that demonstrated their prioritization of certain groups over others.”
