Retired superstar QB Tom Brady couldn’t contain his excitement or himself as he watched his alma mater score a massive victory on Monday.
Brady, who played college football at Michigan, celebrated wildly on an Instagram story as the Wolverines held off Alabama to win the Rose Bowl and advance to the College Football Playoff final.
Brady himself has some experience with Rose Bowl success, having been part of the 1997 Wolverines team that won it — though he was the backup QB to Brian Griese in that contest. That game marked the most recent time that Michigan competed in the Rose Bowl.
Arguably the greatest football player of all time, Brady famously was picked out of Michigan by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. He would go on to lead the Patriots to six Super Bowl titles during his 20 seasons there before heading to Tampa Bay and winning one more as a member of the Buccaneers.
Brady retired from the NFL following the 2022 season and has signed on to be a broadcaster with FOX starting next season – however, rumours continue to swirl that he could make a comeback to the gridiron.
Judging by this recent shirtless snap, we’d say he’s still in shape to do so.
