In the hours after the 45th President of the United States was hit with seven charges from U.S. Federal court, Fox News had video of the former prez playing golf at Trump National Bedminster, his course in New Jersey. Trump is seen hitting an approach shot to a green, as well as teeing off surrounded by no fewer than seven golf carts.
Let’s be honest, it’s a pretty good idea. Whether you expect to walk away free, or are worried about 75 years of potential jail time, the golf course is probably the spot you’d want to be. Trump has been an avid golfer for decades and owns 12 courses in the U.S. including LIV Golf sites Bedminster, Trump National Washington, and Trump National Doral near Miami. He also owns Trump Turnberry in Scotland, one of the world’s best courses.

There are more golf ties between Trump and his current legal woes. The unsealed indictment mentions an audio recording that took place at the same Bedminster course where he is allegedly caught on tape talking about the classified documents. The audio is one of the supposed smoking guns against him in the case.
Perhaps his defence can argue that everyone makes up stories at the golf course. After all, if we believed everything everybody said in the clubhouse after a round of golf, the world would be full of magnificent scratch golfers who never make a bogey … like, um, Donald Trump.
