Donald Trump roasted after golf ‘cheat’ video goes viral from Scotland

The so-called ‘Commander in Cheat’ seemingly was at it again this past weekend.

U.S. President Donald Trump appears to have been caught cheating during a round of golf at his course in Turnberry, Scotland – and users on social media have gone wild for it.

In a video clip that has gone viral on social media, as Trump approaches in a golf cart where his shot landed at or near a bunker, a caddie appears to drop a new ball for the President to play.

As Trump got out of the cart and approached the ball, the caddie retrieved the initial shot.

In another clip posted by the Telegram, Trump very clearly moves his ball into a better spot on the fairway to hit his next shot.

In a third video, Trump is at it again. This time, on a different hole, he appears to drag the ball away from the face of a bunker to make an easier shot onto the green.

Users on social media site X, quickly took aim at Trump as the phrase “commander in cheat” began trending.

“For the morons that think Trump doesn’t cheat at golf and wins all those club championships fair and square….watch his caddie here,” one user wrote.

“It’s hilarious that people are shocked to see that trump cheats at golf, when folks were telling us long before he was elected,” another user wrote. “Wait until you find out he cheated on ALL 3 of his wives, or how he buried one on his golf course and forgot about her.”

Another user compared Trump’s athletic antics to those of North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, who once claimed to have shot 11 holes-in-one during the first round of golf in his life at the 7,700-yard championship course at Pyongyang.

“The video of Trump’s caddy doing an Oddjob Slazenger drop isn’t a big deal; cheating at golf isn’t nearly the worst thing about Trump,” The Atlantic’s Tom Nichols wrote. “But watching the cult of personality try to explain it away is really some creepy North Korean level stuff.”

Trump’s alleged cheating — which has always been denied – was the subject of Rick Reilly’s 2019 book, Commander in Cheat.

“At Winged Foot, where Trump is a member, the caddies got so used to seeing him kick his ball back onto the fairway they came up with a nickname for him: Pele,” Reilly wrote in the book.

The U.S. president also has faced a long list of cheating accusations from previous playing partners, ranging from actor Samuel L. Jackson to LPGA player Suzann Pettersen.

He has also been criticized for the amount of time that he has spent on various golf courses during his second term in office. According to reports, Trump has golfed at least 45 days out of his 189 days in office this year — roughly 24%.
