According to the New York Post, online detectives believe Karain outed herself as the brains behind the account, which many believe to be Reed’s burner account. In the past, the @useGolfFACTS account has posted tweets that paralleled those of Reed’s.
In 2021, Golf Digest reported tweets from the account defended Reed from allegations he faced in his career, as well as were critical of fellow golfers such as Justin Thomas. Reed’s lawyer at the time, Phillip B. Costa, denied Reed was behind the account.

Online sleuths believe Karain is actually the mastermind after @useGolfFACTS replied to a message about Reed attending the Collingwood-St. Kilda Australian rules football game earlier this week, the Post reported.

“P (Patrick) taking in the Collingwood / St Kilda AFL game on Sunday, repping The Aces of course,” Schuster tweeted. “Have to wonder if @useGolfFACTS didn’t attend due to the quality of the seats provided!”
Schuster referenced a 2018 controversy in which Reed criticized the PGA Tour for giving him and his wife prime seats to a Boston Red Sox game.
On Monday, @useGolfFACTS replied to Schuster with another photo of Reed at the football game, showing the golfer sitting in a suite with Dustin Johnson.
