Nick Taylor has higher hopes for this celebration after winning the RBC Canadian Open than for his first two PGA Tour wins, but honestly, it shouldn’t be too hard to beat.

I think I did laundry the one time and maybe had pizza the other time,” Taylor said. “So hopefully we’ll up that here.”

We certainly hope so. Taylor has had some friends celebrate on the green with him as fellow Canadians Adam Hadwin and Mike Weir were among those watching the dramatic finish at Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Unfortunately, most of Taylor’s family was following along back in Abbotsford, B.C.

My brother and my caddie are here, we have some family,” Taylor said. “Unfortunately, my wife and kids are back home and my parents.”

Taylor spoke to his wife Andie while he was in the locker-room before the playoff. Caddie Dave Markle, who has known Taylor since he was 17, broke into tears on the 18th green during a surprise Facetime call from Taylor’s wife Andie, while Taylor was getting set to accept the trophy.

The only problem is with U.S. Open week beginning Monday, Taylor’s celebration likely will have to be short. Short, but sweet.
