Brooke Hogan’s ex-NHLer husband fires back at Hulk and Linda Hogan

During his playing days in the NHL, Steven Oleksy never hesitated to back up his teammates.

Now, he’s backing up his wife in a tumultuous battle with her parents.

The former NHL enforcer took to social media to wade into the turmoil between his wife, Brooke Hogan, and his in-laws, Hulk and Linda Hogan.

In his weekend post on Instagram, Oleksy defended Brooke over her mother’s “laughable” claims amidst a family feud.

“My wife’s post was not a plea for attention, sympathy or even support,” he wrote. “It was simply a response to the false claims that had been made about her.

“I cannot stand by and allow anyone to continue to hurt not only the most amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my wife, but also the distorted sense of power and relevance the media can sometimes grant individuals.”

Oleksy was referencing Linda Hogan’s social-media rant, but did not mention her or Hulk Hogan – real name Terry Bollea – by name in the post, instead referring to his mother-in-law as ‘Jane Doe.’

The former Pittsburgh Penguin and Washington Capitals forward also shot down the claim that Brooke had broken her mother’s collarbone during a “drunken fight.”

“The claim that my wife broke ‘Jane Doe’s’ collarbone was laughable to those who know the truth,” Oleksy wrote before sharing that he been sober his entire life — the one exception having been a sip of alcohol directly out of the Stanley Cup with Penguins teammates in 2016.

“My wife will have the occasional cocktail or glass of wine, but neither of us has ever used drugs or any other substance that may alter reality,” Oleksy said.

The 39-year-old also revealed that Brooke wanted to take her mom on an all-expenses paid trip to see a Stevie Nicks concert and spend time together, but was rebuffed by Linda, who said that she had already seen the rock and roll hall of famer and doesn’t go to concerts anymore.

Oleksy then claimed that Linda has attended several concerts since the invitation was made, blowing up her excuse.

The Hogan family kicked off the public dispute last week when Linda accused her ex-husband of creating rifts in the family, which led to Brooke cutting contact and excluding them from her wedding to Oleksey in 2022.

The younger Hogan responded to the claims, saying her pro wrestling legend dad wasn’t all to blame and her problems with him weren’t why she didn’t talk to her mother.

That was when Linda called out her daughter as a “narcissist” and made the accusation about the broken collarbone. Linda also claimed that she had never met Oleksy, either.

“As for the idea that we married without anyone knowing, that was never our intention,” Oleksy wrote in the post, referencing his wedding day with Brooke and the limited guest list.

“Unfortunately, it was the only viable option when another party involved said, ‘I don’t do weddings or funerals anymore,’ which is perplexing, considering that same person has attended multiple weddings since then and even had a wedding of their own,” he added, seemingly referencing Hulk Hogan’s third wedding, to Sky Daily, in 2023.

While Brooke, Linda and now Oleksy have become involved in this back and forth on social media, the Hulkster had largely stayed out of it – until Sunday.

While he didn’t comment on any of the claims being made by either side, he did make a post on Instagram seemingly referencing the ongoing drama.
