Patrice Bergeron #37 of the Boston Bruins waves to fans before exiting the ice after Florida Panthers defeat the Bruins 4-3 in overtime of Game Seven of the First Round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs at TD Garden on April 30, 2023.
Despite sitting third on the Bruins’ all-time points list, Bergeron may have been known more for his defensive prowess, winning six Selke Trophies as the NHL’s best defensive forward.
He is also a member of the Triple Gold Club, winning a gold medal at the 2004 World Championships, the 2010 Winter Olympics and a Stanley Cup in 2011.
Adding it all up, it’s clear that Bergeron is destined for the Hockey Hall of Fame, but should he go in as a first-balloter?
