Martin Jones gets another Maple Leafs start while Ilya Samsonov's process continuesBack to video

No goalie is perfect, but Jones was close to it on the Leafs’ three-game sweep in California, going 3-0-0 with a .976 save percentage and a 0.66 goals-against average. In total, he stopped 81-of-83 shots as the Leafs shut out Los Angeles before beating Anaheim and San Jose.
As for Samsonov, his first week away from the team and working with Toronto Marlies goalie coach Hannu Toivonen and the Leafs’ development staff apparently went well.
“Ilya has had a good week,” Leafs general manager Brad Treliving said. “We’re going to huddle later (Monday) afternoon to map out the next piece of (the process). His on-ice and off-ice work has been good.”
