Maple Leafs’ Craig Berube signals changes, demotes star from top power-play unit

Following three straight losses, the Toronto Maple Leafs knew they had to shake things up, Lance Hornby reported.

And by breaking up the second line, and moving up Max Pacioretty on the left side with centre John Tavares and William Nylander, it was exactly the change the team needed as the Leafs went to win two straight.

Meanwhile, Max Domi and Bobby McMann found themselves on a third unit with checker Pontus Holmberg, while Matthew Knies joined first-liners Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews on the top man-advantage unit.

Diddy’s alleged requirements for girls at his ‘Freak Off’ sex parties revealed

The stories about Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged “freak-off” sex parties continue to dominate headlines and the latest is as unsavoury as the rest.

According to one party planner, Diddy was very particular about the girls he wanted to see at said parties and the rapper allegedly had requirement for them, Mark Daniell reported, from their weight (“no flab, no cellulite”), no excess piercings or tattoos, no short hair, and they had to be “young and hot.”

Shudder.

The dress code was also gross, particularly very short party dresses that were just long enough “to cover her butt cheeks” but also “no longer than mid-thigh.”

Cleavage was a must, as were sky-high stilettos.

And of course, age was never factored in.

SHUDDER.

Mother intentionally went over Niagara Falls with 2 children, police say

A 33-year-old mother who climbed over a safety rail at Niagara Falls with her two children, intentionally went over the falls, New York state police said.

Authorities responded to the park on Monday night but the ensuing search-and-rescue efforts were unsuccessful for the woman, a nine-year-old and a five-month-old.

The investigation determined the incident was “intentional in nature” but the circumstances surrounding the tragedy “remain under investigation.”

It was a photo of a sunset along with the Chicks’ cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide,” with Stevie Nicks’ lyrics that are meant to reflect on the changes and challenges of life,” Daniell reported.

“Oh mirror in the sky, what is love / Can the child inside my heart rise above / Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?”

That and three heart emojis — do they signify his own three children, two of which are with Bundchen (his eldest son is with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan), or something else?

LILLEY: LCBO CEO screwing up paper bags symbolic of problems

It may be time for George Soleas, president and CEO of the LCBO, to dust off his resume after their biggest shareholder had to correct his actions twice in just a few months, Brian Lilley wrote.

In April, Premier Doug Ford had to chastise the LCBO over its decision to get rid of paper bags for customers.

Then this past week, Ford had to tell the government liquor monopoly to find an Ontario supplier just as they had been instructed to do months ago.

In July, Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy, whose ministry is responsible for the LCBO, laid out the need for the government agency to promote Ontario products both on store shelves and in procurement, including in securing a supplier for paper bags.

The Ford government has been promoting a made-in-Ontario and buy-Ontario policy since the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic so when the LCBO signed a two-year deal with a Quebec-based firm, that obviously didn’t sit well.

Combine that with its first strike in their 97-year history, it hasn’t been a great year for the LCBO.
