Woll shines, while Maple Leafs' third line Domi-nates in win over StarsBack to video

Each member of the Max Domi line scored a goal as the Leafs won for the fourth time in five games.
Domi has scored in consecutive games for the first time since February 2023, when he was with the Chicago Blackhawks, and linemates Nick Robertson and Bobby McMann got in on the offensive action as well. Like Domi, Robertson also scored in the Leafs’ previous game against Buffalo on Sunday.
William Nylander scored two goals, including one into an empty net for his 20th of 2024-25. That came after Colin Blackwell cut the Leafs’ lead to one goal.
Joseph Woll, in his first start in the wake of the Anthony Stolarz injury, was excellent in the Leafs’ net. Woll finished with 36 saves and had to be sharp on more than a handful.

The Leafs chased Stars goalie Jake Oettinger, who got a piece of the bench for his 26th birthday. In allowing four goals on Toronto’s first eight shots, Oettinger had nothing to celebrate.
Casey DeSmith was in net to start the third as Oettinger was done after facing just 12 Toronto shots in total.
The game was tied 1-1 after one period on goals by Domi and the Stars’ Sam Steel. The Leafs were outshot 16-4 in the first period and the night grew more ominous when Evgenii Dadonov fooled Woll with a shot just 22 seconds into the second.
The Stars’ 2-1 lead didn’t weigh heavily on the Leafs.

After Woll stopped Roope Hintz’s backhand on a breakaway, Toronto went to work on offence.
The Auston Matthews line was on the ice for the two Dallas goals, but Nylander atoned when Matthews sent him alone on Oettinger. Nylander went top corner to the glove side on Oettinger at 5:15 and the game was tied 2-2.
A mere 16 seconds later, Robertson beat Oettinger from the top of the slot with a shot through the goalie’s five-hole.
At 11:31, the Leafs scored another relatively weak goal when McMann beat Oettinger with a low shot.
For just the sixth time this season, the Leafs scored at least four goals at five-on-five.
Leafs winger Ryan Reaves played in his 900th career game in the NHL and marked it in his usual physical manner, throwing a team-high six hits.
Down on the farm, Matt Murray made 27 saves for a shutout as the Toronto Marlies beat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 3-0 on the road. There has been talk that the Leafs, at some point, will summon Murray from the Marlies as Stolarz recovers from his knee issue.
