Jayden Struble signs two-year contract with Canadiens, avoids arbitration
The deal will pay the Habs defenceman $1.4125 million per season

The Montreal Canadiens have avoided salary arbitration with restricted free agent defenceman Jayden Struble by agreeing to a two-year, one-way extension.
The deal will pay Struble an average of $1.4125 million per year. Struble had filed for arbitration and had a hearing scheduled for Aug. 3.
The 23-year-old Cumberland, R.I., native appeared in 56 games in the 2024-25 season, scoring twice and adding 11 assists for a career-high 13 points. He also played two playoff games.
The 6-foot, 207-pound Struble was a second-round selection by the Habs in the 2019 draft.
