In the video, which was obtained and released by TMZ, things appear to get heated in a common area of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, with Richardson appearing to forcefully push Coleman several times.
The incident occurred on July 27, with Richardson appearing to be angry while walking through the terminal with Coleman, who was carrying a rolling suitcase.
Richardson first grabs him by the backpack, pulling him backwards towards her. After briefly arguing, Richardson then forcefully shoves Coleman into a pillar, after which he tries to walk away from her.
She continues to follow him and then shoves him behind the pillar and off camera.

As the couple walks towards a TSA checkpoint, Richardson appears to take a swipe at Coleman’s head before things settle down.
TMZ reports that they talked for several minutes outside the checkpoint with a guard nearby. Richardson then left the area and police arrived on the scene and spoke with Coleman.
Richardson reportedly was arrested for fourth-degree assault, but Coleman declined to press charges and “declined to be a victim.”
However, Richardson reportedly was held for nearly 19 hours at the SCORE South Correctional Facility in Des Moines, Wash., according to the outlet.
Richardson has yet to address the incident publicly, but Coleman spoke about it to reporters at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships this past weekend.

🗣️ “She’s a human being, and a great person… She has a lot of things going on, a lot of emotions and forces going on inside of her that not only I can’t understand, but nobody can. She’s one of one. And I’m one of one too.”

“For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round,” Coleman said. “I don’t feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody.
“But I’m the type of guy who’s in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love. I hate the narrative too … it’s so negative. In the state of Seattle (sic), even talking to the cop to whatever, he was like, ‘There is really nothing I can do.’”
Richardson captured Olympic gold as a member of the U.S. 4×100 relay team last year at the Summer Games in Paris. She also won silver in the 100-metre sprint.
Coleman is a three-time world championship gold medallist, twice winning the 4×100 relay and also taking the 100-metre crown in 2019.
