Call it the Gim Dynasty.
That’s a good way to describe the run of the team from South Korea, which has enjoyed three straight championships at the Calgary-hosted Autumn Gold Curling Club.

On Monday, Team Gim — skipped by Eun-ji Gim — made it back-to-back-to-back titles by easing to a 7-1 win over China’s Rui Wang in five ends in the championship final.
That was after losing games in both the A and B events and making a run through the C event. The Koreans — with third Min-ji Kim, second Su-ji Kim and lead Ye-eun Seol — won their final six games of the Calgary Curling Club-hosted event that annually boasts an array of élite women’s teams. This year, there was 28 on hand from around the world.
The semifinals saw Gim top Robyn Silvernagle, of Sexsmith, Alta., 8-5 and Wang defeat Winnipeg’s Beth Peterson 7-3.
Calgary’s own Kayla Skrlik, of the Garrison Curling Club, made the quarterfinal round before losing to Wang 4-2.
Gim, now the winner of the 2022, ’23 and ’24 Autumn Gold Curling Classic spiels, pockets $12,300 for the victory, while Wang takes home the runner-up prize of $8,200.
Silvernagle and Peterson earn $5,150 each for semifinal appearances, and quarterfinalists Skrlik, B.C.’s Corryn Brown, Japan’s Team Ueno and Japan’s Satsuki Fujisawa get $3,550 apiece.
