Matt Chapman OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+110), Fanduel (Wager: 1 unit to win 1.1 units)
It has been an awful six-week stretch for the Blue Jays’ third baseman.
Since May 1, Chapman has a 62 wRC+ and is striking out 28.7% of the time.
However, when we step back and take a look at the larger sample size, Chapman has crushed lefties this year to the tune of a .422 batting average and .667 SLG%.
Friday night, Chapman and the Blue Jays will face Rangers starter Martin Perez who has given up a .296 AVG to righty bats this year.
He’s also striking out just 15.8% of right-handed hitters which should help out Chapman and his strikeout tendencies.

Martin Perez OVER 2.5 Earned Runs (-125), bet365 (Wager: 1.25 units to win 1 unit)
The Blue Jays own the 15th-best wRC+ vs. LHP this year, but they have too much offensive talent to stay down there for too long.
They’re the 10th-best offence in MLB in June with a .750 OPS.
Perez, meanwhile, has struggled of late, giving up six or more runs in two of his past three starts.
Globe Life Field has also been one of the better offensive ballparks in MLB this season.
We could see some fireworks in Texas.
Jack Suwinski OVER 0.5 Home Runs +360, FanDuel (Wager: 1 unit to win 3.6 units)
Suwinski has quietly become one of the biggest sluggers in Major League Baseball.
In 164 career MLB games, Suwinski has 34 home runs, with 15 of them coming this season in just 58 games.
All of his long balls in 2023 have been off right-handed pitching and he’ll get one in Milwaukee in Julio Teheran.
The journeyman righty has been phenomenal for the Brew Crew since joining them, pitching to a 1.48 ERA.
Teheran has faced 31 lefty hitters this year and has yet to allow a home run despite a 54.2% fly-ball rate and 33.3% hard-hit rate.
American Family Field in Milwaukee has been one of the best home run parks for lefty power this season.
I like Suwinski to keep up his long ball ways against Teheran.
