Alex Ovechkin has been doing Alex Ovechkin things over his last 9 games.
The Great 8 has 37 shots on 67 attempts.
The number is juiced up with the prop sitting at 3.5 SOG, but any time Ovi’s prop number is this low, you have to be interested.
The Islanders will visit the Capitals tonight. In their last game, Ovechkin had four shots on goal.
Washington’s captain has averaged more shots per game (4.3) on the road this season, but at home, he’s still averaging 4.06 shots per game.

Like last week when these two teams squared off, the power play matchup is in Toronto’s favour, and the Maple Leafs should have plenty of opportunities on the man advantage.

The Leafs have the second-ranked PP (25.6%) in the league, and Tavares has been one of the catalysts with 35 points to lead the team.

The Panthers are desperate for a win, and Verhaeghe will do what he can to ensure that happens.
