The Stamford, Conn., based company announced on Thursday morning that it is bringing its Money in the Bank premium live event (PLE) to the city for the first time in its 14-year history on Saturday, July 6.
The event will be preceded by Friday Night Smackdown on July 5, and followed by NXT Heatwave on Sunday, July 7. All events will take place at Scotiabank Arena.
“Toronto is an amazing city with a passion for sports entertainment,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “We’re excited to bring Money In The Bank to Canada for the first time, as we continue to lock down the most globally focused schedule in company history.”
WWE has now announced that four PLEs are headed to international markets in the first eight months of 2024 with Elimination Chamber: Perth in Australia on Feb. 24, WrestleMania Backlash in Lyon, France, on May 4 and Bash in Berlin, Germany, on Aug. 31.

Toronto last hosted a major WWE PLE in 2019 when SummerSlam took place at Scotiabank Arena.
WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), last February brought its Elimination Chamber PLE to Montreal, culminating in a huge weekend of events that featured one of the most successful Canadian PLEs in recent memory. Montreal’s Sami Zayn received an unbelievable ovation ahead of his main event title match against the WWE’s Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Money In The Bank will feature WWE’s biggest Superstars as they fight to earn a briefcase containing a contract for a championship match at a time and place of their choosing anytime within the next year.
More information on the ticket on-sale will be announced in the coming months. To learn more about registering for pre-sale opportunities, please visit WWE’s official website.
