On Wednesday, The Nature Boy posted an update thanking everyone for their prayers and words of support.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out and for all the thoughts and prayers,” he wrote. “It means a lot to me. I will get through my health issues and be stronger than ever!”

The treatment for skin cancer forced him to miss a scheduled meet-and-greet event at a Mississippi wellness clinic on June 17.
“I have health issues that I need to attend to,” he wrote. “As I have procrastinated putting my health first in the past. Melanoma, I have found out, is nothing to play with.”

In August 2017, Flair was hospitalized with stomach pains and disclosed that he was in the early stages of kidney failure and close to congestive heart failure after years of alcohol abuse.
He was put into a medically-induced coma before doctors removed a part of his bowel and put in a pacemaker.
“I crashed in an airplane and broke my back, I’ve been hit by lightning,” Flair told the magazine a month later. “But this is totally different. Anything I’ve been through before is nothing like this.”
