Paulina Gretzky wows in red at 2024 Masters Tournament
AUGUSTA, GA. — In one of the newer traditions at the Masters — and anywhere else she goes for that matter — there were plenty of eyes on Paulina Gretzky as she wowed galleries while watching her husband Dustin Johnson prepare for the season’s first major. The reunion of the world’s best players this week with the fractured golf world coming together for a major, also means Paulina and other famous better halves, including Brooks Koepka’s wife Jena Sims, are back in the limelight after spending the better part of the past year on LIV Golf island. The 35-year-old Gretzky turned heads at Wednesday’s Par-3 Contest. In 2023, she caddied for Johnson at the family/Instagram-friendly event, but this year she traded her white caddie jumpsuit for a more form-fitting red number that was more her style. She will have plenty of time to choose an outfit on Thursday, as Johnson is in the day’s final tee time at the weather-delayed tournament and won’t be hitting the course until 4:30 p.m. Earlier this year, Gretzky revealed that her and Johnson received numerous death threats after the golfer’s big-money defection to LIV Golf in 2022. The daughter of the Great One, Wayne Gretzky, appears on the second season of Netflix’s golf docuseries Full Swing and opened up about a turbulent time in the couple’s lives. She says that she had to “shut it down” and stay away from messages on social media. Tom Watson urged end to PGA Tour, LIV Golf battle at Champions Dinner Paulina Gretzky ‘shut it down’ after death threats over Dustin Johnson’s LIV Golf move “People sending death threats and awful, awful, awful things,” Gretzky said. “People were aggressive, that’s for sure. But that’s when I shut it down for a little bit. I was like ‘I don’t need to look at this. Everyone has an opinion on it. Fine.’” Johnson was paid a reported $125 million to jump from the PGA Tour to the Saudi-funded golf outfit, where he is the captain of the 4Aces GC team. After settling into their new reality, Gretzky said that she’s happier now that she’s not “taking a back seat” to the couple’s “old life” on the PGA Tour, which featured a much more extensive schedule. “We have a little bit more time together now since things have changed a little, whereas before, it was like, go go go,” Gretzky said. “We have more control now of how we do things. That old life that we had, I had to take a backseat, but now it feels like we’re in the front of the plane together flying. It was the right move.”

The former Masters and U.S. Open champion reportedly collected more than $35 million in winnings from his first year with LIV Golf on top of the four-year, $125-million contract he signed to come over. Johnson has individual wins in all three of his LIV Golf seasons: 2024 Las Vegas, 2023 Tulsa and 2022 Boston. He reportedly made roughly $75 million during his 15 years on the PGA Tour. “Dustin Johnson took the money. He got 150 million,” golf journalist Dan Rapaport said in an interview for the docuseries. “He seems to be living his very best life and it’s just not any more complex than that.” Despite the death threats, Johnson said that he has no regrets about his move. “We knew what we signed up for,” Johnson said. Paulina Gretzky celebrates her birthday in style in St. Barts
Your secret is safe with us, Paulina. Paulina Gretzky, daughter of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, got an early start on her birthday celebration over the weekend, posting images and video on Instagram with friends from the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Barts. In a video, Gretzky, who turns 35 on Tuesday, makes the motion that her lips are sealed before tossing an imaginary key to a group of partygoers including golf star husband Dustin Johnson. “Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone,” Gretzky, who is seen wearing a skimpy silver, cutout dress, captioned the video. This is not Gretzky’s first trip to the tropical paradise. She held her bachelorette party in St. Barts in early 2022 before marrying Johnson in April of that year. It’s also not her first time going all-out for her birthday celebration, either. Just last year, the mother-of-two celebrated her 34th birthday with a bash called “Paulina’s Studio 34,” complete with a disco ball-shaped birthday cake. Johnson, a two-time major champion, seemingly is enjoying his off-season. He is one of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour’s top competitors, finishing fifth in the 2023 standings while the team that he captains – 4Aces GC Squad – finished first in the rankings with 192 points. He’ll still have more than a month off before hitting the greens again as LIV Golf begins its third season in early February – complete with the addition of reigning Master champion Jon Rahm.
