Revered author Elmore Leonard has been hospitalized in Detroit, Michigan after suffering a stroke.
The prolific 87-year-old writer of the stories that inspired the hit films Get Shorty, Out of Sight and Jackie Brown, among others, was at home when he fell ill last week.
His recovery is expected to be swift and a source tells The Hollywood Reporter the stroke was not life-threatening.
