“I grew up in a small town but had big dreams!” Joan Kelley Walker, the little girl from Wilcox, Saskatchewan with the vision and passion and who has worked hard to make those dreams come true. A true communicator with a beautiful smile, Joan found herself working in the world of modeling and media. From writing to radio broadcast and eventually to the star of the hit, show Real Housewives of Toronto. Last year her childhood dream of designing in the world of fashion became a reality, with the launch of the Joan Kelley Walker Collection. “I have early memories of flipping through fashion magazines and trying on all of the clothes in my sister’s closet! What’s more, her fashion collection helps with another of her passions – giving back. “Currently I am preparing to launch the Fall/ Winter 2019 Joan Kelley Walker Collection on Walmart.ca. This is our third collection. For every item purchased I will make a donation to Breakfast Club of Canada. This is an inspiring way to come together to give back! “ A true philanthropist her work does not stop there. She is dedicated to causes that support women and children around the world including World Vision, Canadian Nation Institute for the Blind, Free Them and Starting Strong. Her humanitarian work has won her several honors and awards including Mother Teresa Award, Queens Diamond Award and Heroes for Children Power of Generosity Award. This year she has been nominated for 2019 Woman of Inspiration (WOI2019) Awards “Whenever I can lend my voice to a cause that matters and I am passionate and connected to,” says Joan. “My life has been changed by hearing people’s stories and I am motivated by that! I have always loved fashion and philanthropy so by combining the two I feel fulfilled. I have learned that we are limitless when we are true to ourselves.”
