Alleged Crips rapper denied bail for gun and drugs charges
BARRIE – An alleged member of the Crips street gang who police say was arrested at Wasaga Beach with cocaine and a loaded gun will remain behind bars, a Justice of the Peace ruled Wednesday. Just weeks before the arrest, Pantlitz-Solomon’s identical twin brother, Jason, a third-year university criminology student with no criminal record, was gunned down in downtown Windsor in what police are calling a gang-related killing. The dead brother had put up $5,000 bail for his brother after he was charged with assault one week earlier in an unrelated incident. Pantlitz-Solomon is a rapper, who performs under the name as J Solo, and has a YouTube rap videotaped outside Acorn Place where he praises gang violence.
