Former White Stripes frontman Jack White is the latest celebrity to take aim at U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Seven Nation Army singer shared his thoughts on the new “gaudy” and “vulgar” makeover done to Trump’s Oval Office on Monday.
White shared a photo of Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as they discussed finding an end to Russia’s war on Ukraine.
But the singer was more focused on the décor behind the two world leaders.
“Look at how disgusting trump has transformed the historic White House. It’s now a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler’s dressing room,” White wrote.
“Can’t wait for the UFC match on the front lawn too, he’s almost fully achieved the movie ‘Idiocracy,’” he added, alluding to UFC president Dana White recently revealing the White House would host an event on its grounds next year.
“Look at his disgusting taste,” he continued before asking, “Would you even buy a used car from this conman, let alone give him the nuclear codes?”
Naturally, neither Trump nor his staffers took too kindly to the comments — and responded in kind.
“Jack White is a washed-up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career,” White House communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement to the Daily Beast.
“It’s apparent he’s been masquerading as a real artist, because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of ‘The People’s House.’”
Since his second term began, Trump has updated the look of the presidential office, adding gold embellishments and adornments throughout the room, including more portraits to create an Oval Office gallery wall, and putting up a painting of himself surviving an assassination attempt in the White House entrance hall.

The Rose Garden also got an overhaul, paving over the grass and turning it into an outdoor terrace.
The plans to build a ballroom in the East Wing were also recently announced.
But the feud wasn’t over.
White responded to the White House’s statement with a lengthy statement on a follow-up post on Wednesday, blasting Trump’s policies and past.
“Here’s my opinion, trump is masquerading as a human being. He’s masquerading as a christian, as a leader, as a person with actual empathy. He’s been masquerading as a businessman for decades as nothing he’s involved in has prospered except by using other people’s money to find loophole after loophole and grift after grift,” the musician wrote.
He eventually added: “Being insulted by the actual White House that this particular conman leads is a badge of honor to me, because anyone who trump supports and likes is a villain who gives nothing to their fellow man, only takes what can benefit themselves.”
