During the broadcast Sunday night, online sleuths speculated about a viral moment involving Taylor Swift when her pal Gomez was captured at her table allegedly telling the Cruel Summer singer about her encounter with Chalamet and his girlfriend Jenner.

“‘I asked for a picture with him and she (Jenner) said NO,’” one social media user attempting to read Gomez’s lips speculated. Another angle of the clip allegedly showed Swift’s pal Keleigh Teller seemingly saying, “With Timothee?” as Gomez nodded in response.
Lip reader Jeremy Freeman told Page Six that Gomez said, “He didn’t want a picture with me. He said no.”
Gomez then nodded her head when Teller asked, “Timothee?”
“Selena with the gossip” and “I just love Taylor’s face” social media detectives wrote of the exchange.

Selena Gomez was seen gossiping about Kylie Jenner during the Golden Globe Awards.
Selena: I asked for a picture with him and she [Kylie] said NO.
This echoes a separate source, who also swiftly shut down talk of a rift, telling Us Weekly that Gomez “never asked to take a photo” with Chalamet.
“Selena didn’t speak with Kylie nor Timothee at The Globes, there was never any drama,” the insider added. “She never even ran into him.”

But in the past, there have been rumours of a feud between the two due to Jenner’s friendship with Hailey Bieber, the wife of Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
Last year, Jenner was accused of mocking Gomez’s eyebrows on Instagram, but the Kylie Cosmetics CEO claimed via a TikTok comment, “this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”

Gomez also dismissed talk of a rift, adding, “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
When she saw the online chatter developing, Gomez, 31, confirmed the rumours she had told Swift that Jenner wouldn’t let her snap a pic with Chalamet were false.
“Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up,” Gomez wrote in the comments of one of E! News’ Instagram posts. “Not that that’s anyone business.”
As the drama continued to unfold, the Only Murders in the Building star went on to announce she is quitting Instagram to focus on “what really matters.”
