Music is great for just about any occasion, but when it comes to setting the mood for sexy time, there are some songs and genres that should make every hot playlist.
ZipHealth analyzed over 11,267 songs from 148 Spotify playlists to find the most popular artists, songs, and genres, while also surveying more than 1,000 people about their listening habits during sex.
Toronto’s own The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, is the king of sex playlists, according to the data.
Four of his hits, The Hills, Often, Call Out My Name and Earned It are in the Top 10 across sex playlists.
However, Nicki Minaj’s Super Freaky Girl was ranked No. 1 for bedroom fun.
Other songs on the list include Closer by Nine Inch Nails, two songs by Two Feet — Love is a B***h and I Feel Like I’m Drowning, and DJ Mustard and Jeremih’s Birthday Sex.

Artists joining The Weeknd in the Top 10 are Kanye West, the Deftones, Lana Del Rey, Drake, his rap feud rival Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Doja Cat.
Now, keep in mind there are different ways people are intimate with each other, be it getting down and dirty or all about the romance — and the songs reflect that.
Jack Johnson’s Upside Down and Bryson Tiller’s Don’t are favourites in the “Freaky” category, while the aforementioned Weeknd songs dominated the folks who are “making love.”
The survey found 68% of respondents listened to music during sex to help reduce sexual performance anxiety, while 63% said it significantly increased how long their session lasts.
As for average duration of sex, people who listen to hip-hop and rap last the longest in bed at 31.5 minutes, while classical and alternative fans follow closely at 31.3 and 31.1. minutes, respectively.
Those who listen to country music are most likely not to use protection and most likely have participated in an orgy.
And there is something to said about people who listen to classical music during sex, as 77% said they are most likely to be satisfied with their sex life.
