CRIME SCENE: Female suspect sought after person assaulted downtown

A female suspect is being sought after another person was allegedly assaulted during an argument downtown.
Toronto Police said they responded to an assault call April 29 at 9:49 p.m. in the Bremner Blvd.-Rees St. area.
Police said a woman and the victim got into an argument and the woman allegedly assaulted the victim, who suffered minor injuries.

The accused was last seen entering a parking garage. She is described as 25 to 30 years old with a medium build and black shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a black shirt, black pants, brown furry slippers and a red purse.

SCUGOG MAN CHARGED WITH ROBBERY, ASSAULT
A 27-year-old Scugog man is facing robbery and sexual assault charges after three separate incidents in Ajax.
Durham Regional Police said women appear to have been targeted in each incident.
On May 29 at 7:20 p.m., police said a female was in the Harwood Ave.-Clements Rd. W. area when she was approached by an unknown man who allegedly touched her inappropriately. The female reported the incident to police a few hours later.
On Friday at about 3:50 p.m., police said another female was walking through a plaza at 314 Harwood Ave. S. when she was approached by an unknown male who allegedly attempted to take her backpack. Police said she was able to escape and approached a bystander for help, while the male fled on foot.
On Saturday at about 11:50 a.m., police said another female was on the sidewalk near 75 Bayly St. E. when an unknown male approached her and grabbed her backpack, causing her to fall to the ground. The woman screamed for help and bystanders came to her aid.
Investigators connected the incidents and identified a suspect.
Seth Mantifel was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of robbery and sexual assault.

MAN CHARGED AFTER ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN
A 50-year-old Toronto man faces numerous charges related to an attempted residential break-in in Uxbridge.
Durham Regional Police said they responded Tuesday at 1:15 a.m. to a break-and-enter-in progress in the Hwy. 47-Goodwood Rd. area.
Police said the suspect tried to gain entry to a residence, causing extensive damage to the exterior and several vehicles in the driveway. The residents were home at the time, but no physical injuries were reported.
Police said the suspect fled, but an arrest was made without incident.
Brian Maschke was charged with break-and-enter of a dwelling house with intent, mischief, four counts of damage to property over $5,000, as well as uttering threats, failure to comply with an undertaking and disobeying a lawful order of court.

MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULTING PARKING OFFICER
A 66-year-old Toronto man is facing assault charges following a dispute with a Toronto Police parking enforcement officer.
Police said officers responded Wednesday at 9:07 a.m. to an assault call in the Victor-Broadview Aves. area.
Police said a parking enforcement officer was trying to complete a parking violation notice when a man approached the officer and allegedly assaulted them. A man was arrested shortly after.
Cops said the officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Anastassios Giannopoloulos was charged with assaulting a peace officer and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
