CRIME SCENE: Milton man, previously charged with sex assault, now faces new charges

A 59-year-old Milton man, previously charged with two counts of sexual assault, has now been charged with operating a holistic centre illegally.
Halton Regional Police Service say Ehsan Ansari was charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order as his release conditions prohibited him from continuing to practice healing services.

Investigators allege Ansari has continued to operate a holistic centre in Milton under a new business name, Sunnah Hijama, and believe there may be additional victims or witnesses who have received treatment by Ansari at either Holistic Hijama Benefits, his previous place of business, or Sunnah Hijama since Sept. 5, 2024.

Cops said that when Ansari was initially charged with sexual assault last September, he was working at Holistic Hijama on Weston Dr. at the time and previously worked in Mississauga.
ELOPEE SOUGHT
Toronto Police are seeking the public’s assistance finding elopee Bahaeddine Hneihen, 37, who last seen on Wednesday at 3:20 p.m., in the Ossington Ave.-Queen St. W area.
He is currently bound by a Form 49 Warrant of Committal and was found not criminally responsible for sexual assault, forcible confinement, fail to comply with undertaking, theft under $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.
Hneihen is described as 5-foot-6, with a heavy build, black hair and brown eyes and last seen wearing a black hat, blue shirt, blue shorts, white and blue shoes and carrying a multi-colour backpack.

HAMILTON SHOOTING
Hamilton Police are investigating a shooting in the Upper Ottawa St.-Unsworth Dr. on May 27 around 4:50 a.m.
The shooting was not reported at the time that it happened but cops were told when damage to a business in the area was discovered.
Investigators are seeking to identify the suspect and motorcycle in a 21-second video clip that shows them pull up to a white pickup truck in parking lot and begin shooting before driving away.
The suspect was last seen driving northbound on Hempstead Dr. toward Nebo Rd.
Residents, drivers, and businesses who were in the area around 4:45 a.m.-5 a.m. on May 27 are asked to check their CCTV and dash-cams for the motorcycle.

YORK COPS PROBE GRAFFITI AS HATE-MOTIVATED
A 28-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged in connection with a series of hate-motivated graffiti incidents in Richmond Hill.
On Saturday, officers responded to a call regarding hate-related graffiti on the exterior wall of a grocery store located in a plaza near Yonge St. and 16th Ave.
That same day, three additional businesses within the plaza reported similar graffiti, all containing anti-Iranian messages.
Another incident was later reported at a nearby bus terminal in the area of Yonge St. and Hwy. 7.
Alexsandr Gavrutenko faces four counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of fail to comply with probation order and and one count of fail to comply with court order . At the time of his arrest, he was on probation and a court order for previous unrelated charges.

MAN IDENTIFIED THROUGH GENETIC GENEALOGY: COPS
Toronto Police are updating the public on the status of a cold-case investigation for a man found deceased in Toronto on March 22, 2022.
On that day, the body of a man was found near St Clarens Ave. and Dupont St. without any identification and attempts to compare his fingerprints to police databases did not assist with that.
A subsequent search through missing person cases across Canada (including the National DNA Databank) still left him unidentified.
In May 2024, with the approval of the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, Toronto Police began using investigative genetic genealogy and found relatives of the man throughout Eastern Ontario.
In March 2025, the investigation revealed a possible name of the man and cops contacted his relatives in the Ottawa area who said they had lost contact with him after the pandemic.
Through medical imaging records, his identity was confirmed as Clancy, who was from the Ottawa area and was approximately 30 years old at the time of his death and his family by Ottawa police

MARKETPLACE SALE VIOLENCE
York Regional Police are warning people to exercise caution when arranging to buy or sell items through online marketplaces, following two violent incidents Wednesday night in Vaughan.
In the first incident, two sellers arranged to meet a prospective buyer at what they believed was the buyer’s residence to complete the sale of a computer, but upon entering the backyard, the sellers were confronted by the actual homeowner, who told them to leave.
During the encounter, police alleged that the suspect — posing as the buyer — showed what was believed to be a firearm and fled the area on foot without the computer.
Shortly after, in a separate incident, a victim met with a supposed buyer for the sale of an expensive computer graphics card.
During the meeting, an altercation occurred and the victim was struck with a firearm and the suspect fled without obtaining the item.
In both incidents, the suspect description was similar and investigators believe the same individual may be responsible.
Police is encouraging residents when buying or selling items online to use the designated Buy and Sell Exchange Zones located at YRP district headquarters as they are monitored and provide a safer alternative to meeting strangers in unfamiliar locations.
