Dramatic video footage released by Durham cops shows the arrests of two suspects in a shooting investigation, including one who was cuffed near a swing set at a playground.
Durham Regional Police’s Air1 helicopter was deployed on Tuesday around 4 p.m. as officers responded to the area of Thickson Rd. N. and Taunton Rd. E. after receiving information from Toronto Police that two suspects in a shooting in East York earlier that afternoon were in the area.
Air1 conducted an aerial search of the area and found the suspect vehicle in a driveway of a residence in Whitby. A short time later, the vehicle left the residence and Air1 followed it into Oshawa, providing updates to Toronto Police and Durham Regional Police officers on the ground.
