Data posted online by Health Canada show 31 international flights touched down at YYZ with at least one passenger carrying the potentially deadly respiratory illness.
Delhi and Cairo had the most flights with three each, while Cancun, Panama, Dubai and Frankfurt each saw two carrying at least one COVID-19 infected passenger.
Other overseas destinations, which each saw one flight each land at Toronto Pearson, include Islamabad, Paris, Punta Cana, Aruba and Abu Dhabi.
Eight flights from U.S. cities carrying COVID included two each from Chicago and Houston, as well as single flights from Charlotte, Philadelphia, Dallas and Detroit.

Fifteen flights originating within Canada carrying passengers with COVID-19 touched down in Toronto since Dec. 21.
In all, Health Canada reported 69 international and 91 domestic flights carrying infected passengers over the past two weeks — the furthest back Health Canada makes information available online.
Health Canada doesn’t list the number of infected passengers per flight, just a range of rows where the infected passenger — or passengers — may have sat.
Fifteen domestic flights with COVID-19 infections landed in Toronto over the past two weeks, with over half originating in Calgary.
Toronto was by far Canada’s biggest source of domestic flights carrying COVID-19 infected passengers, with 26.
Calgary was the second-biggest source, departing 18 flights.
Five flights from Vancouver landed in Tokyo over the same time period carrying infected passengers including one on Dec. 26 — one day before Japan banned entry to foreigners to prevent the spread of the new virulent UK strain of coronavirus.
