Barrie man on probation charged with Mississauga home break-in, car theft

Peel Regional Police have charged a 21-year-old Barrie man, already on a probation order for various criminal offences and prohibited from driving province-wide, in connection with a Mississauga break-in and theft last year.

Police allege the suspect broke into a residence near Lorne Park Rd. and Lakeshore Rd. W. on June 15, 2024, and stole property as well as the victim’s vehicle, a 2016 Porsche Cayenne, that was parked in the driveway.

Cops said Caden Edwards was charged Tuesday with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, theft of a motor vehicle, breach of probation, and operation while prohibited.
