CRIME SCENE: 3 men sought in armed Markham home invasion, auto theft

York Regional Police are seeking three male suspects after an armed Markham home invasion and auto theft on Saturday night.

Cops said they responded to a residence in the Apollo Rd.-Stella Dr. area at about 10:50 p.m. after learning a trio of male suspects forced their way into a home and demanded the keys to a vehicle.

At least one suspect was armed with a knife and the suspects fled in the victim’s BMW.

There were no reported injuries.

One suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was issued Monday for Brandon Marciel, 33, of no fixed address.

Investigators are working to determine the identity of the remaining two suspects and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

One suspect is a 5-foot-8 white male last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with an L.A. Lakers emblem on the chest and sleeve. He was also armed with a knife.

The second suspect is a 5-foot-6 Black male with an afro hairstyle last seen wearing a green GAP hooded sweatshirt and a black vest.

TORONTO MAN, 65, FACING CHILD PORN CHARGES

A 65-year-old Toronto man has been charged following a child exploitation investigation.

Toronto Police executed a search warrant Tuesday in the Park Lawn Rd.-The Queensway area regarding a quantity of child sexual abuse material on the internet.

It’s alleged the user uploaded child pornography to the internet and that child pornography was also located on devices seized after a search of the residence.

Stephen Burke was charged with making available child pornography and two counts each of possessing child pornography and accessing child pornography.

GUN SEIZED DURING BRAMPTON TRAFFIC STOP

Peel Regional Peel have seized a loaded firearm and laid multiple firearm-related charges in Brampton.

On Saturday, officers investigated a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence, which led to a subsequent search of the accused. A loaded Glock handgun with an extended magazine, an automatic sear and 24 rounds of 9mm ammunition were located.

Mikal Richards, 24, of Brampton was charged with 11 firearm-related offences. At the time of his arrest, Richards was allegedly breaching a firearms prohibition.

STOLEN MERCEDES SOUGHT AFTER EAST-END HAMILTON CRASH

Hamilton Police are seeking the occupants of a stolen white Mercedes SUV involved in a crash Monday evening at about 5:30 p.m. in the Quigley Rd.-St. Andrews Dr. area.

Cops said the Mercedes was travelling southbound on Quigley at a high rate of speed and came into contact with a white Dodge Ram pickup truck that was also travelling southbound before the Mercedes drove head-on into a black Toyota that was travelling northbound.

The Mercedes was on file as being stolen and the two occupants fled into a nearby wooded area before the cops arrived.

The driver of the truck was uninjured, but the 71-year-old driver of the Toyota suffered series injuries and was transported to a hospital.

The first suspect is a Black male between 17 and 19 years old with black hair and a black durag.

The second suspect is a 6-foot, 20-year-old Black male with a thin build and afro hairstyle who was wearing a grey shirt.
