CRIME SCENE: Brampton man charged with assault at water park; female suspect sought

Peel Regional Police have charged a 30-year-old Brampton man following an alleged assault at a public waterpark in Brampton and are still seeking a female suspect.
On July 23 at about 6:20 p.m., cops responded to a fight call at the Wet’n’Wild waterpark. They alleged a violent assault occurred against a female victim after a verbal altercation with two suspects escalated.
The victim suffered serious injuries and the suspects, a male and a female, fled.
On Aug.14, police charged Malcolm Ryan with assault causing bodily harm and the female suspect remains at large. She is Black, 30 to 35 years old and about 5-foot-6 with a medium build, black braided hair and brown eyes.

COPS SEARCHING FOR VEHICLE LINKED TO SHOOTING
Peel Regional Police are seeking the public’s help regarding a Brampton shooting last Thursday.
Cops said around 3:49 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting near Larkspur and Maidengrass Rds. and found an unoccupied vehicle that was damaged by gunfire.

The suspect vehicle, a white newer-model Honda CR-V bearing the Ontario license plate CKTT 938, was last seen fleeing eastbound on Larkspur.

Investigators are asking residents, motorists, and business owners in the area to review any video footage captured between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, particularly in the vicinity of Larkspur.
Occupants of the vehicle should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, dial 911 immediately and do not approach.

WHITBY HOME SHOT UP
Durham Regional Police are investigating an early Monday morning shooting in Whitby.
At about 2:45 a.m., cops responded to the Victoria St. W.-Halls Rd. S. area after multiple gunshots were heard. Police said they found multiple shell casings and bullet holes in a residence and that residents were home at the time of the shooting.
No physical injuries were reported and police believe this was an isolated incident.

OSHAWA MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED DOMESTIC BREACH
Durham Regional Police have charged a 35-year-old Oshawa man for domestic-related breaches.
Cops said on Saturday they were conducting an investigation when they learned the suspect was in the area of King St. W. and Stevenson Rd. S.
Police alleged that while taking the male into custody, he armed himself with a knife and barricaded himself in the back of a police cruiser. Other units attended to assist in de-escalating the situation and the man was taken into custody.
The man, who isn’t being identified to protect the identity of the victim, is charged with four counts of failure to comply with an undertaking and two counts of breach of probation.
