CRIME SCENE: Cops hunt suspect after man assaulted

A man was punched and kicked in an unprovoked attack in North York, according to Toronto Police.
Officers say they responded to a call about an assault on Yonge St., just north of Sheppard Ave.
Police described the attack as random, saying the victim did not know the man who assaulted him.
The suspect — described as 6-foot, with a medium build and a black beard — left the area on foot. The vcitims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Five people face firearm and drug charges after two separate traffic stops in Mississauga, say Peel Regional Police.
The first traffic stop was conducted in the area of Derry-Airport Rds.
Quincy Brutus, 21, of Brampton, faces five drug-related charges, Ethan Holness, 20, of Mississauga faces six firearm and drug-related charges and Keyshawn Rose, 21, of Guelph, is charged with three firearm and drug-related offences and one count of breaching a probation order.
On Aug. 6, a second traffic stop was conducted in the area of Derry Rd. and Hurontario St.
Avinash Marcus Dookhie, 21, faces eight firearm-and-drug-related charges and a young person is charged with 13 firearm-and-drug related charges.
