CRIME SCENE: Man accused of sex assault at Brampton hospital, arrest made in Rexdale carjacking

Cops in Peel Region say they need help identifying more witnesses in a sexual assault investigation days after an alleged incident at a Brampton hospital.
Peel Regional Police say that on Sunday at about 1:45 p.m., a three-year-old child was seated in a stroller inside Brampton Civic Hospital when a man approached and touched the child.
Shortly thereafter, cops say the man walked to another area of the hospital and allegedly committed an indecent act witnessed by adults.
Police say investigators identified and arrested a 31-year-old Brampton man.
Brandon Ramnath is charged with sexual assault, indecent act in a public place, and sexual interference.

Investigators are encouraging any additional alleged victims or anyone with information to call the Special Victims Unit at 905-453-2121, ext. 3460.

MAN WANTED FOR SUSPECTED HATE-MOTIVATED ASSAULT
A man is wanted for an assault aboard a TTC streetcar last month that Toronto Police suspect was motivated by hate.
Just before 6:30 p.m. on July 18, a call was received for an assault in the Bathurst and Bloor Sts. area.
The man was on a streetcar at Bathurst Station when he started making anti-Black slurs toward someone who was trying board the vehicle.
Police allege the man then pushed the victim back, causing the male to fall.
The suspect and victim were not known to one another, cops added.
Investigators released images of the suspect. He is described as in his 30s with black hair. He was wearing grey pants, a blue jacket, running shoes, sunglasses and a backpack.

SUSPECT WANTED FOR WEST-END SEX ASSAULT
A suspect is wanted for an alleged sexual assault and police say they need help identifying him.
Toronto Police say, on Sunday just before 10 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Dundas and Dufferin Sts. area.
It is alleged that the victim was hired by the suspect to do renovations. They went to an address in the area and the suspect sexually assaulted the victim.
Police say the victim was able to flee the area.
Investigators released an image of the suspect. He is described as 5-foot-7 with a medium build and short black and grey hair.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information regarding the suspect’s identity or about the incident is asked to contact 11 Division at 416-808-1100.

PEEL COPS SEIZE LOADED FIREARM, DRUGS
A man is under arrest and another is wanted after an investigation in Mississauga led to the seizure of a loaded firearm and drugs.
Peel Regional Police say, on Monday at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers were called to the Godwick Dr. and Atwood Lane area for a suspicious vehicle.
When officers arrived, police say the driver of the vehicle attempted to ram a police cruiser before the two occupants fled the area on foot.
Cops allege one of the occupants threw away a loaded 9mm Glock handgun and a large quantity of crack-cocaine in a bag. In addition, multiple sets of fake Ontario licence plates and a vehicle key programmer were located in the vehicle. Police also determined the vehicle was stolen.
Police say Woody Meky Francillon Saintelmy is in custody while an arrest warrant was issued for Christoffer Richard, the alleged second occupant of the vehicle. Both men are 27 years old and from Quebec.
They are facing numerous charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a device to obtain computer service, possessing automobile master key, possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime, tampering with vehicle identification number, and drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Saintelmy is also charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. Richard is also accused of failing to comply with a release order, breaching a probation order and possession of a firearm contrary to an order.

MAN CHARGED IN REXDALE CARJACKING
A Mississauga man has been charged following a carjacking in Rexdale earlier this month.
Toronto Police say on Aug. 10 at 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a call for a vehicle theft in the Martin Grove and Royal Crest Rds. area.
Police allege the suspect approached the victim who was sitting in his vehicle and made a demand for the keys.
The victim refused but was forcefully removed by the suspect, cops allege. The suspect then got in the vehicle and drove away.
Police say the stolen vehicle was located by Peel Regional Police on Wednesday.
Investigators with the Toronto Police Holdup Squad arrived soon after and allegedly saw the suspect walking back to the stolen vehicle. He was arrested without incident.
Officers searched the suspect and allegedly found the keys to the vehicle as well as a knife.
Emmanuel Reid, 23, has been charged with robbery with violence, possession of property obtained by crime, weapons dangerous, and fail to comply with a release order.

MAN CHARGED AFTER CHILD ABDUCTED
A 29-year-old man has been charged after police say a baby being pushed in a stroller was abducted in southwest Scarborough.
Toronto Police say, on Wednesday at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers responded to a call for an abduction in the Pharmacy Ave. and Teesdale Place area, north of Danforth Ave.
Police allege the victim was pushing their grandchild in a stroller when the suspect approached the victim, claiming the baby was not theirs.
Cops say the suspect then forced the stroller out of the victim’s hands and ran away.
The victim chased the suspect and was assaulted before the suspect fled the area.
Police say officers quickly located the suspect nearby and placed him under arrest.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the child did not sustain any injuries, cops added.
David Gonzalez Rendon, of Toronto, has been charged with harassment, uttering threats, assault, abduction of a person under 14 years of age, overcome resistance by attempting to choke/suffocate/strangle, mischief/damage to property not exceeding $5,000, and obstructing a peace officer.
WOMAN ACCUSED OF NORTH YORK ROBBERY
A 35-year-old woman is accused of stealing merchandise from a North York store in early August.
Toronto Police officers were called to the Dufferin St.-Lawrence Ave. W. area on Aug. 9 at 12:30 p.m.
Cops say a woman entered a store and waited for customers to leave before going behind the counter and taking merchandise.
When the victim attempted to stop the suspect, police allege she assaulted the victim before fleeing.
Crystal Davis, of Toronto, was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbery and breach of probation.
FIREARM, DRUGS SEIZED IN HAMILTON
A man and a woman are facing numerous charges after a firearm and drugs were seized following a search of a Hamilton residence earlier this week.
Hamilton Police say officers with the Major Drugs and Gangs Unit and Division 10’s High Enforcement Action Team executed a search warrant on Tuesday in the Mount Hope area.
According to police, investigators uncovered cocaine along with other evidence of drug trafficking, a large sum of currency, a conductive energy weapon and a loaded .40-calibre handgun.
Daniel Hickling, 31, and Aaliyah Sousa, 29, have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a prohibited device.
