Officers responded to the shooting in the area of Weston and Bradstock Rds. – south of Finch Ave. W. – just after 11 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, police say an injured man was located and rushed to hospital via an emergency run.

Police later updated the victim’s condition in a message posted on X saying the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday.

MAN INJURED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT STABBING IN KENSINGTON MARKET

A man in his 20s was stabbed in Kensington Market over the noon-hour on Saturday.

Toronto Police say the broad daylight violence unfolded in the area of College St. and Augusta Ave. – west of Spadina Ave. – shortly before 1 p.m.

“(The) victim made his way to a nearby business for assistance,” police said in a message posted on X.

The victim was transported to hospital with injuries that were initially considered serious.

But in an update posted to X, police said the man’s injuries were not life-threatening.

No arrests had been made and the investigation was ongoing.

MOTORCYCLIST FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE AFTER TWO-VEHICLE CRASH IN LITTLE ITALY

A man is fighting for his life after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in Little Italy on Friday night.

Tloronto Police say the two-vehicle collision occurred at Bathurst St. and Ulster Ave. – north of College St. – just after 9 p.m.

“A red Honda motorcycle with two riders was travelling at a high rate of speed northbound on Bathurst St. near Ulster Ave.,” police said in a statement released Saturday.

Police said a southbound grey Toyota Rav 4, driven by a 60-year-old man, made a left turn from Bathurst to travel east on Ulster and collided with the motorcycle.

“A 26-year-old male rider on the motorcycle was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries,” police said, adding a female rider, also 26, was also taken to hospital but with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

GUNSHOTS RING OUT IN DOWNTOWN HAMILTON

Gunshots rang out in downtown Hamilton early Saturday but no injuries have so far been reported.

Hamilton Police say the shooting occurred in the area of Inchbury and Tecumseh Sts. shortly after 2 a.m.

“Officers immediately secured the area and searched for anyone involved,” police said in a statement released Saturday. “However, no victims or suspects were located.”

“Through continued investigation, police can confirm multiple shots were fired,” cops added.

Police are asking area residents to check their security cameras between the hours of 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Saturday for any suspicious activity.

They are also urging anyone who was driving in the area around the time and has dashcam footage that may help investigators to come forward.

GUNFIRE ERUPTS IN HAMILTON’S EAST END

Gunfire erupted in Hamilton’s east end early Saturday but fortunately nobody was hurt.

Hamilton Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Rymal Rd. E. and Whitedeer Rd. – west of Upper Centennial Pkwy. – around 4:40 a.m. and found evidence of a shooting.

“Investigators believe this shooting to be targeted in nature,” police said in a statement released Saturday, adding “no injuries” have been reported in connection with this incident.

MAN, 40, ARRESTED FOR STABBINGS AT HAMILTON MOSQUE

A 40-year-old man is accused of stabbing multiple people at a mosque in downtown Hamilton on Friday afternoon.

Hamilton Police say officers responded after receiving reports that “several individuals” had been stabbed at the mosque on York Blvd., near Queen St. N., around 2:15 p.m.

“The altercation started outside the location and continued inside the building,” police said. “One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the other was treated at the scene.

“A third victim showed up at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” police added.

Investigators were initially looking for two suspects who fled in an unknown direction, possibly in two separate vehicles, but it was later determined one of them was not involved.

“At this time, early details suggest the incident was not hate-motivated,” police said on Friday, explaining the assailant and victims were known to each other.

A suspect was subsequently identified and arrested at an address on the Hamilton Mountain, police said in a statement released Saturday.

Abdullah Alkhlif, 40, of Hamilton, is charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of assault causing bodily harm.

The investigation is ongoing.

MAN, 42, AND WOMAN, 34, BUSTED AS DRUGS, WEAPONS SEIZED IN TAY TOWNSHIP

A man and a woman face drug and weapons-related charges after a home in Tay Township – north of Barrie – was raided by cops.

Ontario Provincial Police say Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment executed a search warrant at a residence on Forest Harbour Pkwy. around 5 a.m. on Friday.

“CSCU investigators, assisted by uniform OPP officers along with members of the OPP Tactical Rescue Unit, seized a considerable quantity of drug-like substances believed to be cocaine, purple fentanyl, various prescription medications believed to be Oxycodone and Clonazepam, a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun with a fully loaded clip, a quantity of various caliber ammunition, a conducted energy weapon, and an expandable baton,” the OPP said in a statement released Saturday.

“Additionally, a quantity of Canadian currency, a number of cellphones and other related drug paraphernalia were also seized,” police added.

Kevin Munro, 42, of Tay Township, was arrested on a slew of drug and weapons-related charges.

A 34-year-old Tay Township woman, whose name was not released, was also arrested.

She’s charged with knowledge of unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.

“This is a continuing investigation,” police said.
