CRIME SCENE: Man sought after east-end Toronto home broken into

An image has been released of a man sought after a home was broken into over the weekend.
Toronto Police say they were called Sunday just after 4 p.m. to a home in the Broadview and Bain Aves. area, north of Gerrard St.
The man “stole several items” after entering the home, then fled.

He is described as in his 50’s, and 5-foot-8 with grey hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and dark-coloured shorts.

PICKERING GO STABBING
Cops in Pickering are hunting a stabber after an assault at the GO station early Monday.
Durham Regional Police were called just after midnight to the Bayly Street station for reports of “an armed person.”
Police said the victim was “walking to their car in the parking lot when the suspect approached them and stabbed them.”
The attacker fled northbound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The wanted male is described as white and was wearing a black sweater and red pants.

GUN CHARGES AFTER ALTERCATION
Five young people are charged after a gunshot was fired from a vehicle during an “altercation” earlier this month.
Toronto Police say that around 11:50 p.m. on July 5 in the Coxwell Ave. and Gerrard St. E. area, “an altercation took place between a group of people in a vehicle and a group of people on the street.”
A gunshot was fired from the vehicle towards the people on the street but only hit “property” that “sustained damage.”
After an investigation, on July 18 two male youths were charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Their ages weren’t released.
On July 24, a Criminal Code search warrant was executed in the Coxwell and Gerrard area and officers allegedly seized a loaded 9-mm Ruger-semi automatic handgun, and a loaded .45-calibre Ruger semi-automatic handgun.
A man and two females were arrested.
Faebian Dos Santos, 19, of Toronto, is charged with discharge firearm with intent, possess firearm without holding a licence, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, three counts of possession of a loaded prohibited/restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and two counts of possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with.
Kayleigh Williamson, 20, of Toronto, faces possession of a loaded prohibited/restricted firearm, possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been Tampered with, and fail to comply with release order.
A Toronto girl, whose age was not released, is charged with possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm and possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with.
KNIFE USED IN POT SHOP ROBBERY
A man has been charged with fail to comply with probation after a knife was wielded in a downtown pot shop robbery.
Around 6:20 p.m. on July 19, Toronto Police were called to Front and York Sts. where a man wearing a mask entered a store, “produced a knife and made a demand for cannabis.”
He took “a quantity of cannabis,” then fled.
After a probe, cops identified a suspect and on July 25 found him and made an arrest.
Rocco Teodosio Vietri, 30, of no fixed address, is also charged with robbery with offensive weapon, and disguise with intent.
PROJECTILES THROWN OFF DOWNTOWN-AREA BRIDGES
Police are warning motorists to be on the lookout after projectiles were thrown from bridges along Mount Pleasant Rd., between St. Clair Ave. E. and Bloor St. E.
“Multiple vehicles travelling under the bridges were struck and damaged,” said a Toronto Police statement. “There were no reports of injuries.”
Police added that items were thrown from the bridges on Sunday and then again on Monday, between 9 p.m.-10 p.m.
